The Baumer URAR 18N7912/S14G 11050152 is a chemically robust ultrasonic sensor designed for precise distance measurement with a scanning range of 0 to 400 mm and a reflector position range of 120 to 400 mm. It features high repeat accuracy of 1.5 mm and minimal temperature drift of less than 2% Sde. The sensor operates with a quick response and release time of less than 25 ms each and utilizes a sonic frequency of 400 kHz. It includes a Teach-in adjustment, target indication flashing for alignment aid, and a green LED output indicator. Certified by Ecolab, it ensures reliability in harsh environments.
This sensor is powered by a 12 to 30 VDC voltage supply and has a maximum current consumption of 35 mA with an NPN break function (NC) output circuit and a maximum output current of 200 mA. It features a voltage drop of less than 2 VDC and includes protections against short circuits and reverse polarity. The cylindrical threaded design, made from stainless steel 1.4435 (V4A), measures 18 mm in diameter and 91.5 mm in length, with a connector M12 connection type. The active face is coated with Parylene, and the O-ring is made from FFKM, capable of withstanding pressures up to 6 bar for 20,000 cycles.
Operating temperatures range from 0 to +60 °C, and it is rated IP 67 for protection against dust and water ingress, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
