The Baumer UNAR 12P3914/S14H 11182700 is a chemically robust ultrasonic sensor designed for precise distance measurement within a range of 10 to 200 mm. It features a far scanning range limit of 30 to 200 mm with a typical hysteresis of 4% and repeat accuracy of 0.5 mm. The sensor operates with a sonic frequency of 380 kHz and has a quick response and release time of less than 10 ms each. It is equipped with external Teach-in for easy adjustment and does not include an LED alignment aid. Certified by Ecolab, it ensures reliability in harsh environments.
This sensor is powered by a 12 to 30 VDC supply, with a maximum current consumption of 35 mA when idle. It supports a PNP break function (normally closed) output circuit with an output current of 200 mA and a voltage drop of less than 2 VDC. It also features short circuit and reverse polarity protection. The cylindrical threaded design, made from stainless steel 1.4404 (V4A) and coated with Parylene, along with an EPDM O-ring, ensures durability against chemical exposure and physical pressures up to 6 bar. Dimensions include a width/diameter of 12 mm and a length of 70 mm, with an M12 connector type for connectivity.
Operating temperatures range from 0 to +60 °C, and it boasts an IP 67 protection class, making it suitable for a variety of industrial applications where precision and robustness are required.
