Description
The Baumer FZAM 30N5002 10214415 is an intensity difference sensor with a sensing distance ranging from 300 to 1500 mm. It features a flashing light indicator for alignment or soiled lens detection, and a yellow LED light indicator. Sensitivity can be adjusted via a 15-turn potentiometer. The sensor uses a pulsed infrared diode with a wavelength of 880 nm and has a quick response time of less than 2.5 ms. It operates on a voltage supply range of 10 to 30 VDC, with a typical current consumption of 50 mA and a maximum of 60 mA. The output function can be set to light or dark operate, and it includes an NPN output circuit capable of handling 100 mA. Safety features include short circuit and reverse polarity protection. The sensor's cylindrical threaded design measures 30 mm in width/diameter and 66 mm in height/length, with a brass nickel-plated housing and a PC front optics. It connects via a 4-pin, 2-meter cable and is rated IP 65 for protection against dust and water, suitable for operating temperatures from 0 to +65 °C.
