Description
The Baumer FZAM 12N3104 10234626 is an intensity difference sensor with a sensing distance of 30 to 200 mm. It features a flashing light indicator for alignment or soiled lens detection, and a yellow LED light indicator. Sensitivity can be adjusted via a 270° potentiometer. The sensor includes suppression of reciprocal influence and utilizes a pulsed infrared diode with a wavelength of 880 nm. It has a fast response and release time of less than 1 ms. Operating on a voltage supply range of 10 to 30 VDC, it consumes a maximum of 42 mA with no load and typically 24 mA. The output function is dark operate with an NPN output circuit and a maximum output current of 200 mA. It includes short circuit and reverse polarity protection. The sensor's cylindrical threaded design measures 12 mm in width/diameter and 70 mm in height/length, with a brass nickel-plated housing and a PC front optics. It connects via a 3-pin, 2 m cable and is rated IP 65 for protection against dust and water, suitable for operating temperatures from -25 to +65 °C.
