Description
The Baumer FPDM 16P5101 10232258 is a retro-reflective sensor equipped with a pulsed red LED light source, boasting an actual range of 7.3 m and a nominal range of 8.5 m. It features a polarization filter and a flashing light indicator for alignment or soiled lens detection. The sensor operates without sensitivity adjustment and has a wavelength of 660 nm. It includes suppression of reciprocal influence and offers a quick response and release time of less than 1 ms. The sensor operates on a voltage supply range of 10 to 30 VDC, with a typical current consumption of 26 mA and a maximum of 36 mA. It has a voltage drop of less than 1.8 VDC and supports both light and dark operating modes through a PNP output circuit with a maximum output current of 200 mA. Safety features include short circuit and reverse polarity protection. The sensor's compact, rectangular design measures 15.4 mm in width, 50 mm in height and depth, and is made from die-cast zinc with a PMMA front optics. It connects via a 4-pin, 2 m cable and operates within a temperature range of -25 to +65 °C. The sensor is highly durable with an IP 67 protection class.
